ZZ Top Tuesday, June 17, 2008 Sing all the classic lines and dance the night away, while listening to Rock and Roll Hall of Famers ZZ Top perform live at the Calvert Marine Museum !
Formed in Houston in 1969, the group members are Billy Gibbons (guitar, lead vocals, harmonica), Dusty Hill (bass, vocals), and Frank Beard (drums, percussion). They hold the distinction of being among the few rock bands still composed of its original recording members for nearly 40 years.
ZZ Top reached the peak of their commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s, scoring many hit songs during that era, but they remain together today and are still touring and releasing albums. Gibbons is one of America's finest blues guitarists working in the hard rock idiom, while Hill and Beard provide the ultimate rhythm section support.
Nearly as well-known as their music is the group's appearance: Gibbons and Hill are almost always pictured wearing sunglasses (a nod to their 1979 song "Cheap Sunglasses"), similar if not matching clothing, and their trademark chest-length beards. They have a mirage of hits including "Legs," "Sharp Dressed Man," "Rough Boy," and "Gimme All Your Lovin."
Their opening act will be Blackberry Smoke. A classic Southern Rock band with musical influences from The Stanley Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers. Thursday, July 24, 2008 There are certain welcoming voices in popular music that can be identified as soon as a song starts - singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins possesses such a voice. For over three decades Kenny Loggins has been reaching the hearts and senses of listeners through early classics like "Danny's Song" and his grammy award winning song "This is It."

The Geroge Winston performance scheduled for Tuesday, February 26 has been postponed due to pressing health-related issues. George Winston has rescheduled this show for November 14 at 7:30 P.M. Tickets issued for the February 26th show will be honored at the November 14 performance and do not need to be exchanged or re-issued to be admitted to the performance. If you are an existing ticket holder and cannot attend the November 14 performance, George Winston will be adding a second show on November 13 at 7:30 P.M. If you cannot attend either performance, then call the number above and the museum will refund your ticket price.
